I've been owned by Chihuahuas for 21 years but recently partnered with a kennel in Utah and have started to breed. We had our first litter November 2021. We live in the Pocatello area of Southeast Idaho. A Chihuahua was my first dog, that was entirely mine as a teen and they have been my heart breed since. One of the things about the breed that really attracted me to them in the beginning was the potential longevity of the breed. I recently had to say goodby to my original Chihuahua, Isabella, and that firmed my desire to work on health and longevity in my own breeding program.

My husband and I are animal lovers of all kinds and have had a reptile breeding, selling and educational hobby business for the past 12 years. Though we are downsizing it to focus on breeding Chihuahuas.

We also have a rescue Border Aussie mix in addition to our Chihuahuas, who was more or less feral for the first 6-8 weeks of her life. She has been a big challange that I honestly wasn't sure I was up to a few times over the past few years but with the help of 4 local dog trainers in the area, particularly Cassy's Caring Paws, ODMAD and Companion Canines of Pocatello, we have built her confidence and helped her become a happy member of the household. (She thinks that she is a Chihuahua and plays very nicely with them!) She was actually part of the impetus for me to become focused on the idea of breeding, I have become facsinated by early development of dogs, how to give them the best start in life before even being concieved onwards and how much of a trust and responsibility good breeding and rearing practices are. The dog trainers I've worked with and in some cases become close to, have also kindled an added interest in dog training.

We also are owned by 8 domestic muggle cats, 1 purebred Balanese cat, and our remaining reptiles. I also foster for several local rescues on occasion, especially bottle baby kittens and puppies and drive for a volunteer transport group that helps move rescue, shelter and adopted dogs between rescues, shelters and out of state adopters.
